Project Overview

The Citrix Academic Network brand initiative was created to position Citrix as a leader in empowering the next generation of virtual and cloud computing professionals. The project goal was to design a clear, engaging identity that communicated both opportunity and innovation—whether speaking to students seeking future-ready skills or educational organizations looking to expand their impact. As the sole designer collaborating with our education and brand teams, I ensured the brand showcased Citrix’s commitment to delivering programs, resources, and hands-on learning experiences that equip learners and educators to succeed in a rapidly transforming world through virtual computing. By blending clarity, energy, and forward momentum, the design system I developed aimed to reflect both the technical depth of cloud education and the aspirational drive of academic growth.

Concept Details

The Citrix Academic Network is built to fuel ambition and unlock potential. It’s about empowering the next generation of thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers to rise higher in their studies, sharpen their skills, and step confidently into the tech industry. With momentum, focus, and a clear path forward, the program inspires young minds to aim upward, reach outward, and launch their careers as prepared, capable, and future-ready professionals.

Program Logo Lockup

I created a logo lockup system that was to be used as a model for the creation of all program lockups, starting with the Citrix Academic Network. The system consists of the corporate logo as the unifying element in addition to the program name set in the corporporate font. Leading and kerning were adjusted accordingly to achieve visual harmony.

Design Elements

To capture the spirit of momentum—moving forward and rising higher—I chose an upward, diagonal arrow as the core graphic symbol. Paired with bold, inspiring photography that reflects growth and learning, and anchored in the company’s signature green, the design radiates pride, ambition, and a shared drive to succeed.

Brand Expression

The Citrix Academic Network program's design, with its flexibility, was expressed in various formats and applications, including both print and digital media, ranging from print brochures to web banners and landing pages. The program was successfully promoted at different colleges and other institutions of higher learning.
