Cloud Software Group

VISUAL/WEB DESIGN
Project Overview
In October 2022, Citrix Systems was acquired by a private equity firm and subsequently went private. It was eventually combined with TIBCO and several other business units that had originally been acquisitions by Citrix and TIBCO. These mergers resulted in the creation of individual business units under one holding company, Cloud Software Group. Since Cloud Software Group was established as a new corporation, the leadership team required a small website to serve as an initial source of information about the acquisitions of Citrix and TIBCO, as well as the formation of Cloud Software Group. This new site was designed to be flexible and capable of evolving with additional content and pages as needed. I collaborated closely with our brand designer, who developed the visual identity and proposed design elements. I took the new look and feel, along with its brand components, and applied them to the digital space of the new website. I interpreted the brand concept and messaging to explore how these elements could organically translate to the web and other future digital applications. I also worked with our UX Designer and Content Strategist to create the information architecture (IA) framework for the site, ensuring it effectively communicated current information while allowing for seamless expansion as more content was added. Additionally, I collaborated closely with our development team to rebrand our existing front-end components to align with the new brand aesthetics. I ensured that the responsive experience was smooth and created a library of key digital brand assets, all while further developing and refining the overall web experience.
Wireframes
I collaborated with our UX Designer to create wireframes based on the information architecture and content strategy, identifying opportunities to utilize brand assets to enhance the content and strengthen the brand.

Color Palette
The Brand Team developed the color palette, which I optimized for digital use to ensure compliance with accessibility standards, while maintaining consistency across other brand applications.
Typography
We chose to use the existing typescale from Citrix.com because the site is part of the larger corporate brand ecosystem. This decision will also simplify the production process, as we won't have to deal with the technical implications from a development perspective.
Iconography
I created a primary icon set in a two-tone style to complement the other brand elements. This set supports high-level content and has a more conceptual design. Following that, I developed a secondary icon set intended for functional and supporting content.
Web Style Guide
To support the brand and serve as a reference for future updates or the addition of new pages, I created a style guide that documents every brand element and treatment of the new site. This ensures consistency throughout the entire site as it expands.

High-Fidelity Comps
I created high-fidelity comps for final approval from both the stakeholders and our Brand Team to ensure the site aligns with the established brand. Additionally, I collaborated with our development team to confirm that the design could be implemented within our CMS. I documented and specified any new components, which were developed during parallel sprint sessions.
